WorkLifeBalance
Work/Life Balance is an ongoing challenge for most of us, as we try each day to give attention to our job responsibilities at work and to our personal responsibilities at home or in the community. It’s a constant juggling act, and requires setting up our best support systems.

In this section of Wellness@NIH, you’ll find information about many resources that can help you put together the pieces of your own work/life puzzle.  These include several types of flexible work schedules, commuter and transportation options, parenting and childcare resources, adult dependent/eldercare resources, tips and tools to handle stress, and access to the many services provided by the NIH Employee Assistance Program (EAP).

The NIH supports and conducts research that has improved the health of Americans and millions around the world – and NIH employees are its greatest resource. Each of us plays a role to help NIH accomplish its important mission.  NIH is counting on you at work, others are counting on you outside of work, and your body is counting on you to strive toward your own health and wellness!  We hope this section will help you improve and maintain your work/life balance.
