NIH's Transhare Program provides a subsidy for using mass-transit including the metro, bus, and more. To apply, complete an Application (form 2705-1) and submit it to the address listed on the form.

Electronic Vehicle Parking Program

On the Bethesda campus, there are 8 electric vehicle charging stations to charge your car.

Did you know about the Electronic Vehicle Pilot Program here at NIH? The pilot program allows NIH Commuters to 'Plug In' and 'Power Up' while they work.  NIH has installed 8 electric vehicle charging stations in 3 Multi-Level Parking (MLP) garages on the NIH Bethesda Campus. NIH Employees of electric vehicles can park and charge their vehicles at one of the following locations:

  • ACRF/Bldg. 10 Parking Garage: P2 Level and P3 Level
  • MLP-6: Lower Level
  • MLP-7: Lower Level

Once you have made your way to NIH, you can take the free shuttle service around campus  or to off-campus locations.
