Who We Are

The NIH Health and Wellness Council is a team of NIH volunteers that help to establish a model where healthy behaviors are the norm at work. This includes support from policies, initiatives, peer support, scientific information; our staffing and volunteer framework is below:

The make up of the NIH Wellness Community is a three-fold approach: 

  • NIH Well-Being Ambassadors in each NIH institute (IC). View their contact pages under Well-Being Ambassadors.
  • The program areas that house wellness-related programming within ORS (Wellness, Child & Family, Work-Life), and 
  • Our stakeholder groups; currently NIH Health & Wellness Council, NIH Childcare Board, Aging and Dependent Care Committee, and Nurses Wellness Committee.
