Welcome Back to NIH Cafeterias, Coffee Bars and Concession Stands!

Many things have changed for NIH food services in the past two years. Although we are reopening, it will occur in stages and with different food offerings. Please be patient with us as we work to reopen as many food service establishments as possible.

Please visit our food services webpage to learn more about our daily food offerings as well as the operating hours of our open locations.

Eatify Preordering Via Phone or Computer

An app-based ordering option called “Eatify" is now available. Eatify enables customers to place an online order and to skip the line but still customize meals. There are four pick-up locations on campus: Building 31 Cafeteria, Building 35 Cafeteria, Building 10's B1 Cafeteria, and CRC Atrium Café (only Starbucks beverages).

The brands available through Eatify for hot food are:

  • Just Burgers
  • Pan-Asian (Bok Choy, Nice Thai, and Masala by Marigold)
  • Piccola Italia (pizza and stromboli)
  • Hissho Sushi

Preordered and prepaid Starbucks items will be available for pick-up from Building 35 and Building 10's CRC Atrium Café.

The weekly menus, including hours of operation for each marketplace, can be found here.

Building 31 and Building 35 – Key Notes

-  At Building 31, we now offer Segafredo barista service in the cafeteria.

-  At Building 35, Starbucks, formerly in the atrium, has moved to the cafeteria.

-  Both locations will close for restocking one hour each day between breakfast and lunch.

Back by Popular Demand: Food Trucks!

A variety of Food Trucks have returned to NIH offering lunch options Tuesdays – Thursdays from 11:00 am – 2:00 pm. Look for two trucks in Lot 10H outside the South entrance to Building 10 and one truck at 6705 Rockledge Drive, currently behind Rock I. More trucks may be added per day as well as on Mondays and Fridays should the need arise. An updated schedule of the food trucks can be found on the NIH Recreation & Welfare website. Nearly 20 food trucks are part of the program offering food options that include subs, burgers, hotdogs, chicken tenders, seafood and ethnically diverse cuisine (Mediterranean, Vietnamese, Filipino, Hawaiian, Creole, Caribbean, Canadian and Mexican). Some trucks offer vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options as well.

Food trucks will not operate in poor weather conditions. A weather check will be conducted at 5:00 p.m. the preceding day. If the weather forecast for the following day shows the chance of precipitation is greater than 70% or that the temperature is expected to rise above 95 degrees during the serving time, the trucks will not operate.
