The NIH Office for Research Services (ORS) and the Office of the Director (OD) collaborated to celebrate Yoga Awareness Month offerings geared towards improving access to yoga and improving the understanding of yoga as a mindfulness practice. The purpose of this month is to promote the health benefits of yoga and inspire a healthy lifestyle. Yoga Awareness Month was created by the National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health (NCCIH) along with the Office of Research Services (ORS) to raise awareness of the benefits of yoga-like mental and physical well-being, less stress, and increased longevity of life.
